World Champ

''World Champ'', known in Japan as , is a boxing game developed and published in Japan by Visco for the Nintendo Family Computer, and was later published in North America by Romstar for the Nintendo Entertainment System.
==Gameplay==
There are three different modes in this game, a ranked tournament for up to eight players, a versus mode for two players to compete against each other via a Game Link and two identical cartridges or a "ranking" mode where players improve their vital statistics between fights to take on progressively stronger opponents. The statistics used to determine fighter strength are: speed, stamina, defense and offense (punching ability).
Each fight lasts for a certain number of rounds; which each round having a time limit of a certain amount of seconds. Players can either do straight punches, uppercuts, hard blows to the body, or surprise hook punches during the boxing rounds. After winning each round, the statistic numbers go up automatically by random amounts. Players and opponents have "stamina" meter and a "spirit" meter; causing one of them to go to zero causes a knockdown. Not getting up before the 10-count results in a knockout. Beginning players start in the lightweight division and work their way up towards the heavyweight division.
